Architecture & Urban Design > Reinterpreting the Migrant Worker Village

A universal housing type for the migrant worker floating population,
Reinterpreting the Village strives for high-density housing, and increased livability without using the high-rise, or block housing typologies. The new village strives to create a new entry point for the floating population in China. The mass housing is located adjacent to an existing village within a rapidly expanding city district of Guangzhou. The units aggregate themselves into a landform which bridges over existing transportation infrastructure.
